Builtin 1855 at a cost of $8850 by Rogers inPatterson, N.J., the 4-4-0 was shipped to thestate owned W&A RR in Georgia.April 12, 1862, the locomotive gained fameby being a participant in the great locomo-tive chase during the Civil War.
