DELAWARE & HUDSON 16 & 18 The last guard of the great Alco PA fleet thatonce pulled the big name trains of the countrypose by the flag pole of the D&H shops atColonie, N.Y. in May 1971, shortly after theyfinished their illustrious career, first on theSanta Fe and finally on the Montreal trains ofthe Delaware & Hudson "The Laurentian" &"Montreal Limited". Retired along with theirtrains with the advent of Amtrak on May 1,1971, these two units are now owned andoperated by the Greenbrier Railroad of W.Virginia in occasional excursion service.
